Newlay Locks Monday 3 August 2009 - Thursday 6 August 2009 Newlay lock has failed, as the Heel Post on one of the bottom gates has broken. Replacement parts have been ordered and are expected to be delivered to site on Wednesday 5th August, when repair work can then start. An update for this stoppage will be issued on the 6th August, when a more definite timescale for completion will be known. We are very sorry for any inconvenience this may cause, but we will make every effort to get the lock open as soon as possible.
