David, one of the principals at Eastern Burlap (our local fiberglass
guru) would probably be able to give sound advice on what will work
well. He's made nearly all of the products that are produced in
fiberglass; from surfboards, bath tubs to boats. He taught a class on
fiberglass repair for our club (Old Point Comfort). The link to their
site is:

http://www.easternburlap.com/ The usual disclaimer -- I have no
financial or other interest in said company. Hope this helps.

Casey, West System and surfing the net looking for information. One
approach - sand edges of damaged area to a beveled edge, apply filler
(resin+hardener+fairing filler), sand then paint.
