Montezuma National Wildlife Refuge (MNWR) and Montezuma Wetlands Complex (MWC)
------------

     No reports this week.


Onondaga County
------------

     1/30: 11 species of waterfowl including 2 TUNDRA SWANS were seen at the 
mouth of Nine Mile Creek on Onondaga Lake.
     2/1: 1 BLACK-CROWNED NIGHT-HERON was seen along the creek walk on Onondaga 
Creek near Carousel Center.
     2/2: 2 BOHEMIAN WAXWINGS were seen at the Carpenter’s Brook Fish Hatchery 
near Elbridge. 5 BOHEMIAN WAXWINGS were seen at Green Lakes State Park. At 
least 3 LAPLAND LONGSPURS continue with HORNED LARKS on a manure spread on 
Connors Road south of Baldwinsville.
     2/3: 1 GLAUCOUS GULL, 1 LESSER BLACKED GULL and 2 ICELAND GULLS were seen 
at the Inner Harbor near Kirkpatrick Street in Syracuse.


Oswego County
------------

     1/29: A NORTHERN SHRIKE was spotted on Halsey Road near Mexico.
     2/1: 4 CANVASBACKS were seen at Oswego Harbor.
     2/2: 5 CANVASBACKS and 13 WHITE-WINGED SCOTERS were among the waterfowl 
observed at Oswego Harbor. 10 BOHEMIAN WAXWINGS  were seen on Mitchell Street 
in Oswego.
     2/3: A SURF SCOTER and a MERLIN were seen from Sage Creek Road. A juvenile 
ROUGH-LEGGED HAWK was seen on South Daysville Road. A near breeding plumaged 
LAPLAND LONGSPUR was seen on Bishop Hill Road. 170 BOHEMOAN WAXWINGS were seen 
gritting on Rainbow Shores Road.


Oneida County
------------

     2/1: There is a yet unconfirmed report of an AMERICAN WOODCOCK from Camden.


Extralimital
------------

     1/3: There was a positive sighting on the TOWNSEND’S SOLITAIRE at Sampson 
State Park in Seneca County on the east side of Seneca Lake.
