Goldstar have known problems on TAO mode.

cdrecord -dao works fine.

If you wait until cdrtools-1.11a15 there will be CD-text Authoring support
in cdrecord. Cdda2wav fills in the CD-Text fields in the *.inf files from the
information gathered from freedb.org
