If there are problems with the subcode then the drive has a firmware bug.

If the drive supports RAW writing, you could try to use -raw96r because then
cdrercord will create the subchannel data.

How many times do I need to repeat this:

I don't have any problems in DAO mode and I could not solve the problems in TAO 
mode.

If cdrdao is buggy, try to ask the cdrdao author or use cdrecord instead.

It looks like the cdrdao author does not read this mailing list.
