All right Joerg, you are confusing me.  As far as I know cdrdao is a Disk At Once
type program.  I agree, it is probably not a Track At Once program. But isn't
cdrecord operating as a Disk At Once program when one uses the "-dao" option as
in:

cdrecord dev=6,0 -v -dao textfile=cdtext.dat -useinfo *.wav

(...an example right out of the 1.11a14 README.cdtext.)

That is, isn't cdrecord using the "-dao" option operating in the same way as
cdrdao?
