I tend to ride European as that's all most places teach in the UK - I've
done some novice eventing (dressage, jumping and cross country) but never
really done anything serious
Being a bit of a big chap (weight wise) I'm limited to 16hh and above,
although I spend a lot of time riding Hunters... my fave all-time horse for
a relaxing ride is a quarter-Shire mare called (wait for it) Molly, she's
just under 18hh and is the softest thing you could ever meet... she's like
an arm-chair with legs (you know what I mean)... fantastic in the stable and
loved by everyone...
I haven't ridden much for a while though as work has been hectic (7 day
weeks do that to you), but I've been riding for over 8 years (late starter)
and wouldn't give it up for the world...
Useless trivia - Philip actually means "One who loves horses"...
coincidence, huh?
