But doesn't the Bible tell us "An eye for an eye" or something?
It's been a while since I've read it, so I can't quote it really...
If so, then shouldn't he die 160 odd times?
I'm personally against the namby-pamby way we treat criminals at the
moment - why the Hell should somebody who has killed many people get
privelages? They've deemed themselves outside of Society by using
anti-social behaviour (killing is DEFINITELY anti-social), so why should
Society have to give them free board and ameneties such as TV, sports, etc.
I personally would remove their privelages and make them work for the
State/Country, so at least they are some way putting something back into the
communities...
I'm not particularly liberal about things like this - I still believe that
the unemployed should have to work for their money - there should be no such
thing as a free lunch!

Then again, look at the crime rate in Saudi, China, Iraq and Iran - they are
a LOT tougher on their criminals, so nobody really wants to commit a
crime...
People in the US and UK will commit crimes as they know they get an easy
ride in prison compared to other countries!
I'll get off of my soap-box now <g>
