One way to find out with some certainty about a rough percentage of people who would be willing to pay a minimal fee for HOF service would be a simple one-question survey (we tend to get easily fed up with pages of questions) like asking people "Would you be willing to pay a mere $15 annual fee for the service and value of posting any questions/comments to HOF?"  I would think many HOF members would support the survey and may help the process.

Meantime, regardless of the survey result and your action thereof, keep the HOF (readonly) resources open to all.
