it not there would be no talk of an amendment to clarify the topic.
It's your talk of changing an established institution, the Constitution,
that is the problem. It is the addition of this caveat that is the
institutional change.
You're trying to be extreme at the end there, but the simple fact of the
matter is that what you've said is not a bad idea. In fact in this case
it's a little backwards since immigrants, aliens and everyone living in
America EXCEPT HOMOSEXUALS can get married.

If marriage is not the issue, then why would anyone get married. Let's just
give everyone complete access to every right, all issues aside.
Remove all classes, labels, etc.
So immigrants, aliens, and everyone living in America will have equal
access.
