Its both.

Religiously, sex outside of marriage is wrong. And, homosexuality is wrong.

Just like murder, adultry, envy, etc.

I know exactly where you're coming from but I will never agree with it.

Oh i understand where the religous right comes from and i KNOW why they are
like that, and why they think they are better at times.
Now if the people on the right could step back and say ok i see where you
are coming from i still don't like it though then thats fine.

Now allowing civil unions for gays has nothing to do with religion now does
it? It doesn't condone anything it simply says if you're a couple you can
have the same rights. Nobody says anything about having sex maybe they are
just a friendly couple who want to get married and never have sex. It
wouldn't be aganist gods law.

This whole line should not have had to be dragged into the relgious area
because its nothing religous at all. If they call it civil  union there is
nothing to get upset over is there?

I'm remembering this from speeches made by Pope John Paul II and
missives sent to Roman Catholic churches from the Vatican.

I was baptised a Roman Catholic.

What Monique said, as far as the Roman Catholic church goes, is true.
Homosexuality, according to the Roman Catholic church, is not right and
is not to be condoned and encouraged in Society.
If one is a practicing Roman Catholic, then that is one's belief.

And unless the Jews are closeminded for their beliefs, the Hindus, and
the Protestants, then one is being unfair in labelling someone who
professes views that align to their religion's teachings as 'Close
  Minded', or 'retarded'.

Being open minded does not imply Agreeing with something. It implies a
level of willingness to Understand a different point of view.

  Gel,

Funny, I don't remember that coming up in my catechism. I did not
realize you were Catholic, but I suppose it is possible you know more
about Catholic teaching than I do....(?) are you remembering this from
  your childhood, or what?
