1. I was under the impression that Arafat DID tell his people not to
attack, however two small factions said they would not respect that.

2. We WILL infiltrate those organizations Michael. Brother, no brother,
cousin...whatever. Money speaks loudly to most of them. Not all, I know,
but it will only take one. Okay, you might say that money means nothing to
a person who is prepared to die. I would counter that by saying, "What
does it mean if the person who is prepared to die all of sudden questions
the religion that he/she is dying for?". Never underestimate the ability
of the US to influence, massage, and generally confuse the subject. We
have been doing this in the Middle East for years, and now it is time that
we use this influence to our advantage. We have at least 30 years of
political maneuvering, plotting, and manipulation at our disposal. Id say
we are going to use that before we trigger a Jihad with the entire Islamic
world.

Once again, I am sure that US will resolve this situation (might take
years, but hey, we have time). We will do it in the same behind the
scenes, manipulative way we have been controlling the Israelis and the
Arabs for years. The key here is that we will do it without too much
force. Not just move in the tanks and say....."There! See? I killed 2000
of you, respect me."

It really gets summed up like this....."Respect is earned, not given, and
the way that you earn respect from a potential enemy is to get him/her
first to trust you."
