Why would disbanding US bases in Germany, the Netherlands (please take your WMD with you when you leave) and other EU countries instigate a stronger central government?

Which anti-US tendencies? You mean the anti-US tendencies of the dozen European countries that provide military support to the US troops in Iraq? Or the anti-US tendencies of the dozen European countries that provide military support and troops to the US troops in Afghanistan?
Which anti-semitic tendencies? The hollow rhetoric of Chirac? Or the German law where even denying the Holocaust is a crime?
