House is a 1930 Cape Cod, 70+ year old Horse Chestnut tree in the
front corner of the yard, 70+yo Maple in the other corner, lots of
shade in the summer, front of yard fenced with English box hedges,
side yard with Laurel (10' tall). Yard is currently in re-development.
Previous owners not great at taking care of things...

Livingroom/Dining Room/Entry (all one room along the front of the
house) decorated in Mission style and Deco mix of furnishings,
Stickley bookcase (mid-40s, got it from my grandparents house after
they died), big plush roundback club chairs, and mission style couch,
hardwood floors with Oriental rugs. Dining room houses a massive oak
table, also mission style and a secretary with law book shelves (the
kind with glass doors hinged at the top) for the liquor cabinet. A
vintage Victrola stand is used to store linens and other table decor,
a vintage sewing table is the keeper of the keys and a rock bowl with
a fountain.

Kitchen is in the process of remodel, going for a 30's era feel with
modern appliances, if anyone has seen the kitchen at Vikingsholm at
Emerald Bay, Lake Tahoe, that's what our ideal is, I'll let you know
how that goes. As for the rest of the house we've got a mix of modern
and mission.

Stairs to the kids rooms on the second floor are also being redone,
we're trying to decide whether to re-finish the treads or sand and
paint (something kicky from Sunset Magazine is what the wife is
leaning towrds now).

> What do you have? Eclectic mixes? Well-defined styles? Does anyone else care?

Oh yeah, paintings and wall hangings...

In the Livingroom we've got a couple illustrations from the Book of
Kells, a wall of family photographs, mostly of parents and
grandparents in their younger years, and a Jim Dine charcoal. in the
dining room we've got my wife's collection of saucers, an Andrew Wyeth
and my collection of Insurance Plaques.

Our latest addition is Bob, a stuffed Chamois head that was late of my
grandmother's house in Tahoe.

fairly ecclectic...
