rocker & smoking stand), primitive (an old used-to-be-built-in
half-wall cabinet that now serves to house recording equipment;
couple of old refinished steamer trunks; hand-made plant stands) and
college-days/hand me downs ("early american" style dining room table,
particle board entertainment center). We definitely lean towards
mission, with a fair affinity for other "primitive/antiques."
The house itself is a 1910 1 1/2 story bungalow - maple floors on the
first story, fir on the second. All solid multi-panel doors. We redid
the kitchen in a sort of urban/antique look - high ceilings, exposed
brick chimney, black appliances, light maple cabinetry. But, then
decorated with antique kitchen implements.
We have mostly original art, but not by anyone famous. A couple of
Japanese prints (that don't look all that Japanese), a lithograph by
Michael Shonhoff, a mixed-media work by Dan "Ezra" Lang
(http://www.delstudios.net/), a painting by Marc Joyce. No one famous.
