Of course the simple fact is that you don't have to be ".22 totin dumb fuck religious zealot evangelist morons" to have voted for Bush.
It's that kind of talk that creates a reactionary backlash and it's that reactionary backlash that puts people like Bush in office. Middle America sees CA and NY controlling over half of America's wealth and media and responds by voting. Kerry went after a supposedly large and angry youth base that simply stayed home while middle America came out in droves to override this predicted "youth wave". These people aren't stupid and most are moderates. They're reacting however to a near constant deluge of intimation that they're dumb yokels whose only hobby is conservative boosterism and killing things. Of course there is a large number of people like that - but they're not enough to put Bush over the top. There's also a large number of people that would vote for anybody that would prevent two men from smooching (but, according to sales, are willing to spend billions on lesbian porn). But again they are not enough to put Bush on top. During this election Bush's campaign simply attracted more voters that they alienated. Kerry's camp attracted a lot of people but (it seemed to me) alienated more (at least more of those that they needed). To bad the people they attracted didn't vote. (Note that I think that John Kerry, himself, actually did a fine job. It was many of his vocal supporters that did the alienating, but it destroyed his chances in the end.) Why are the exit polls so wrong in Florida? the only justice that can come out of this election is for the country to do a massive re-vote, all by paper and by hand and two forms of identification. then and only then, do i think the true winner would arise. i cannot fathom that there are 57 million .22 totin dumb fuck religious zealot evangelist morons that would really put a maniac in office. it just boggles my mind. sorry for the profanity folks, and sorry for the hardline view, but it really scares me to be an american right now, and although id like to say i was one of the people who visited the canadian immigration website, i was not, however, just like the republicans fix elections with ghost voters, you could count me as a ghost visitor the that site :( its a sad day to be an american. tw On Sat, 6 Nov 2004 09:28:32 -0600, Gruss Gott <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Robert wrote: > > OK, I'll take a shot at this one.
