In my district in MA it's still Pen and Paper voting.

Each district/state controls its own voting process. So while I can watch
the aftermath carefully I've really no right to "protest" another districts
use of whatever machines they want.

Personally I'm all for country-wide consistency in, at least, Federal
elections. But that's just not going to happen.

As for the broader issue of fraud I don't think it has anything to do with
the machines. Both parties have lower forms of life in them that do this.
Throw away registrations, call voters with incorrect information about their
polling place or times and misrepresent the other party.

It's vile, sickening and should be prosecuted more often (I believe that
federal election fixing is considered treason) but it's definitely not a
solely Republican issue.

Subject: RE: Voter Fraud? Why are the exit polls so wrong in Florida?

Heh heh.

You know what I don't understand?
Where were both of you when they were getting those electronic voting
machines?

I know that it was in the news more than once.

Did any of you request more information from their representatives?
Did you write in and let your voice be heard?
Did you try to organise some sort of resistance against the voting machines?

And if not, then you know quite well how Bush was voted in, even if so many
people supposedly didn't want him there.
Because the party you supported/wanted to vote for didn't do enough either.
They just..'assumed' that American people would do the right thing. They
'assumed' that people would realise the lies and the deceit
that they were fed and vote against that.

What they should have assumed, is that the IQ of the average american isn't
over 100, so they should have assumed that they would
have to work a lot harder to get the message across. They didn't do it
right.

The 'gun toting' 'zealots' 'fanatics' and 'maniacs' are just dumb, single
minded and passionate enough to fight for what they want,
and darn well let their voice be heard. They didn't want no darn faggots
getting married, and they made sure they put a candidate in
office who wouldn't let no faggots get married. They didn't want no body
killing no babies because the good lord says it's wrong, so
they made sure that they voted for that.

And now that Bush is back in office these 'good' 'intelligent' people want
to leave America.

It's amusing on both sides of the equation.
To me as an outsider looking in, it's very clear how and why bush was
re-elected.And so far all I've heard post election suggests
that in 2008, a Republican will be President again.

yes. Investigation not litigation at this point, as the Democratic candidate
has conceded. Therefore it doesn't matter who won the
vote But I think we need more safeguards than this in the next election.
Also, Bernalillo County here is a poster child for why the strategy of
requesting an absentee ballot to create a paper trail does
not work
