Considering the amount of traffic my server uses I don't think anyone here
in the neighbor hood is going to notice. If the cable companies were really
interested in security they would start blocking any virus sent on their
network.

1) That is more security

2) People that run servers on residential networks unfairly hog the 
bandwidth.  Some guy decides that he wants to run some bandwidth 
intensive server and the rest of us are supposed to have a weak 
connection?  Not cool.  And then you get into who decides what is too 
much bandwidth.
