My youngest son (almost 4) has said of my mother smoking; I love that smell.
He also once asked for her to come over with a cigarette. If Drugs were
legal then this child with little self control or idea of choice would be
exposed to it at some point and be not only temped but forced into it due to
the addictive nature. Should drugs be illegal? Yes. Should cigarettes be
illegal? Yes.
That is what just about any parent will say and I agree.

On the other hand, read a comic called Judge Dredd. In it, they have smoking
emporiums where people go to smoke. It's a sealed environment with no
environmental impact and no chance of a passerby to be exposed.

Go ahead and legalize drugs, just keep them away from me and mine.
