interesting question. Judging from discussion here it seems to be the
Libertarians who are in favor. Brings us back to what is conservative,
doesn't it.

As for your son. Maybe he just likes grandma? If you are really
worried, perhaps there is a relative who has emphesyma or lung cancer
who will explain things to him? I personally favor the approach of
trusting kids to have enough sense, but I realize our parenting style
probably differ; I am pretty laissez-faire.
