Hmm. When I was in Dayton I used to know someone from deep deep
Kentucky. My son cracked some hillbilly jokes, which he had picked up
at school, around the guy one or twice; and yes the guy was offended.
So just cause it is common doesn't mean it isn't offensive....

?

On the other hand, it's an interesting interpretation. I think she
*is* a smart woman who plays dumb. But that "I knows"... you don't
think it's a reference to race? Maybe we should define terms. I think
if it puts her down *for being black* it is racist. If it puts her
down *for being a woman* it is sexist. Like when Captain Kirk became a
woman and was automatically unfit for command.

If it criticizes her or puts her down for her *actual behavior* that
is fair comment.
