What if the artist had 3 versions of Ms. Rice like the "see no evil ..." monkeys? Would that be racist because someone might say the artist is comparing Ms. Rice to a monkey? What if it was the same cartoon, but Ms. Rice was white? If you would accuse the artist of racism when the subject is black but not when she's white then isn't that racism? This country doesn't guarantee you to be free from offense (yet anyway). If you don't get the cartoon are are offended in some way, too bad. The constitution guarantees free speech. Who knows how long that will be around, however, if a majority of people start making arguments like yours. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Special thanks to the CF Community Suite Gold Sponsor - CFHosting.net http://www.cfhosting.net Message: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=i:5:136844 Archives: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/threads.cfm/5 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=s:5 Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=11502.10531.5 Donations & Support: http://www.houseoffusion.com/tiny.cfm/54
