So... Tiff has an old friend who's very important to her and she was having problems with her family -- she's recently of legal age to move out, so of course this was a priority for her. So Tiff offered to let her stay with us -- but she's not single. Her boyfriend's been having problems with his family also and neither of them had any money saved, which isn't unusual for people in their early twenties. So we helped them out, we paid for train tickets for them to come down from Connecticut and let them stay with us temporarily until they can get on their feet.
Today Tiff is gathering laundry and we were going to be nice and do some laundry for them (they went out drinking last night and haven't been back yet), and while she's gathering the laundry she finds two cell-phones in their bag. One that he'd broken and melted (which we knew about) and another Nextel phone... hmmm... Nextel... that's the provider we ... So we turn the phone on ... the phone book has all his contacts in it -- including some person or place called "nipples" (not that this is a bad thing, just definately not my contact). Though the "my info" section of the menu lists a 214 number (from Dallas, TX where we were when we got our phones -- they came from Connecticut -- it's all the way across the country), and the name still says "ike". Unfortunately we've discovered after they moved in that the boyfriend's got a criminal record and has been known to cause serious property damage over disagreements with no notable conscience about it. Wherein lies our problem. We can't let him stay here knowing that we can't trust him, and if we kick him out, we can expect to no longer have a car or other property.
