You must have noticed that South Carolinans were a religious
lot and did not have the scandals that the rest of the nation which
did not have blue laws has. The bad thing about the state was that
it allowed alcohol to be sold. This tended to be a corrupting thing
for North Carolina because many people of the border counties,
such as Cleveland County, went to South Carolina to buy booze.
Now that county is just as bad as South Carolina.
