I don't think anyone disagrees that: 1.) Domestic abuse is real and it happens every day. 2.) Mr. Schiavo could be a victim or perpetrator of domestic abuse. 3.) Many studies have been done that show domestic abusers have certain qualities in common. The disagreement seem to revolve around #3. From what I understand, Dana is saying that #3 is the profile. Larry and I are saying that while those studies may show some commonalities, their predictive ability hasn't been verified. If someone wanted to prove Larry and I wrong they'd just present a well-tested abuser predictive model. I don't deny that there's abuser profiles, just their scientific reliability when it comes to prediction of behavior. BTW - not only do I think Mr. Jackson gets the benefit of the doubt, I think he won't be convicted in his current case and I think there's a high probability he's innocent. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Discover CFTicket - The leading ColdFusion Help Desk and Trouble Ticket application http://www.houseoffusion.com/banners/view.cfm?bannerid=48 Message: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=i:5:154336 Archives: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/threads.cfm/5 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=s:5 Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=89.70.5 Donations & Support: http://www.houseoffusion.com/tiny.cfm/54
