I don't drive in traffic at all, so my mileage would suck. Besides, I figure 
driving 8,000 miles a year is my gift to mother earth. Believe me, if I could 
work from home and drive 2,000 miles a year, I would. Given how far apart 
everything is here in SoCal, I doubt I could get away with it even then. 

If I still lived in UTC in my old condo and worked from home, I could survive 
day to day with one of those scooter thingies, although that wouldn't get me to 
the beach with my surfboard and all of my gear. Hence the Escape. If someone 
would be nice enough to sell me their beachfront home at a reasonable price, I 
could move to the beach and just ditch the car completely.
