I think the answer is, though, that if you don't have time to do the research, then you don't invest in it. You said "obligatory", but it would not be. I know Kevin is saying that you lose the money, but I do not believe that is true (still waiting for the proof, he may be right!). So if you don't have the intelligence or the time - stay out of it. I don't need the government to restrict me because some people aren't smart enough to be trusted with their own money.
