Personally I find the films difficult to choke down... Even if it weren't for my knee-jerk response to them (because of my ex), they're so "after school special"... It wasn't until the 3rd film that they had an ending that wasn't (to paraphrase): "And you defeated the UNSPEAKABLE EVIL because of... <drum roll> LOVE! Yes, with all out magic, love is the most powerful force in the world! Love blah blah blah blah blah... " Thanks Walt. I'll be back in a few, I have to go to the vomitorium and then rinse my mind out with Chlorox. .... You know what? I've loved a lot of people in my life... and the most I've gotten out of it was a few "warm fuzzies" and some physical pleasure... In at least one case it's actually been a SEVERE detriment to my life and livelihood (still is, although hopefully the worst of it is over).
