I rented the place while I was on a research fellowship at the Hollins
Communication Research Institute. I was developing a computer based
stuttering therapy system.

The mill itself was a really cool place. The owner had converted it to 3
apartments, of which I had one. It was a single bedroom place (much larger
than most) with a fireplace and an amazing view out all the windows.

BTW the guy who lived in the van down by the stream was the local gun nut.
Every so often he would get drunk and start shooting at his hallucinations
in the trailer. After a while the landlord and I would go out to check on
him after it seemed he ran out of ammo.

PS to continue is that your nose or are you just being nice to the little
song birds by providing them with such a magnificent perch and shelter?
