I agree!

I didn't vote in the Gore vs. Bush election (2000). I didn't support
either of them enough to vote for them. My primary concerns pertaining
to Bush were his foreign policy positions and his catering to the far
right and religious zealots.

When 9/11 happened I was afraid he'd nuke someone, or invade the
following day etc... In the first few months following 9/11 I was very
impressed with how he handled everything.

I agreed with going into Afghanistan and thought the timing was
appropriate. I was proud of being an American and having him as our
President.

He lost me with Iraq, and the lies and deceit involved with it, the
unwillingness to work with the International community, and the
inability to plan beyond the initial invasion.

I don't like Bush's policies or his presidency but I gotta give him
props when 9/11 happened, he did exactly what his country needed him to
do, he was strong in the face of tradgedy and comforting to his people.
