"1.) If you're a believer, then you're sinner if you say you know God's Word, his intent, or his truth. That is, if you say your story or translation is God's Word, but God didn't tell you that, then you're sinning."
For Protestant Christians, throughout all of the versions, there remains one important verse: 'I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but through Me'" (John 14:6). This means that nothing else you do matters as long as your faith in Jesus Christ is intact. Additionally, it is a foregone conclusion that we're all sinners to begin with, and no amount of "works" will undo that. In fact, since we're all sinners, and God cannot face sinners, Jesus took all of those sins onto Himself and paid the price for those sins, the ones that you've already committed and the ones that you're going to commit - if you believe it. So now you get to go to Heaven if you believe. 2.) If you're not a believer at best the Bible is inconsistent and inaccurate with or without translational error. So this has no bearing on anything we've spoken of. Many of these stories were passed from person to person before there was the written word. Further the Bible was canonized (800 BC?) by some random group of dudes, not prophets. This ambiguity leaves 2 cases: 1.) If you're a believer, then you're sinner if you say you know God's Word, his intent, or his truth. That is, if you say your story or translation is God's Word, but God didn't tell you that, then you're sinning. 2.)
