1.) You didn't answer my question: what problem are you trying to
solve and why is minimum wage the best way to do it?

2.) Human nature has, to the best of my knowledge, not been disproven.
Case-in-point: unions. Unions reward seniority, not productivity,
and many union members don't want to do more than what's in their job
description because they can make a fine living with the imposed wages
they're getting.

Need further proof? Read about the Northwest Airlines union on
strike. Here are bunch of people claiming they're owed $70,000 per
year doing work that the market is willing to pay less for. Guess who
won?

I find it astonishing that you would think that paying someone a
"living wage" would not discourage them from keeping up with their
skills. Or that you'd further believe it was disproven.

I'm trying very hard not to laugh and be respectful, but you're making
it very difficult; especially with the hundreds of companies proving
it every day by outsourcing their manual labor. AND the MILLIONS of
immigrants working BELOW minimum wage and then working their way up
into hotel and convenience chains while their American counterparts
wallow at minimum wage.
