ok, fair enough, but that's not money laundering. If the fine was $21k the excess contribution was probably less. While this is not good and should have been avoided -- especially if she is on a hobbyhorse about campaign reform -- it is not in the same category. It sounds more like an accounting error than criminal activity. For the record though, accounting error or not, she should pay the fine. Dana
