45 minutes was pretty short when I would have been pretty short when I was in school.
At age 5 I'd say we did about 2 hours worth of actual instruction per day. Actually at age 5, forty five minutes is about right, and if you look into it, is probably about the amount of actual instruction that takes place a day in the average kindergarten program.
