I haven't seen him say that -- nor do I recall Powell saying he lied -- but if he has, he is entitled to his opinion. I say that if Libby or Cheney have broken the law this is a very big deal. It is a very big deal if they have merely endangered an agent of the United States they are supposed to be taking care of. Woodward is like Willie Nelson. There is no denying the importance of Watergate in American history, just as there is no denying the importance of Willie Nelson in American music. You don't have to be a fan to acknowledge either one. As far as I can tell Woodward is an honest journalist, a rare thing in this day and age, but as far as I know he has not done anything particularly brave lately. Funny you should mention heros.
