While we're on the subject, I'm keen to set up a wireless (using
802.11b) component on my home network, as I'm about to move into a new
home and don't want to cable the bastard (not to mention Alli WON'T LET
ME run blue string and patch panels all over the place).

Here's the current setup:

ADSL modem -> Netgear RO318 router -> Notebook PC
                                   -> Desktop PC
                                   -> 6 spare 10/100 switched ports

What I ideally want is to hang a wireless access point off the RO318 so
that the desktop PC, which is primarily used by Alli and Hannah (wife
and 4yo daughter respectively) connects to the network wirelessly from
another room while the modem, router and notebook PC will live in the
study. I kn ow I'll have to pick up a wireless network card for the
desktop PC, but is there an access point product available that DOESN'T
replicate the functionality of the RO318.

Any ideas?

Steve
