I think that Mac/PC debate boils down to what one is used to. I have
the lone PC in a Mac office and I hate having to use someone's Mac to do
stuff. Not because Mac's suck or PC's rule, but because I've always
used a PC. Well I did have an Apple IIe but that was eons ago. We
could go round and round about which is faster, who has better graphics,
who has more software available, etc., but it always boils down to
personal preference. That new iMac does look pretty awesome and I've
always thought Apple to be really innovative. After the iMacs came out,
PC vendors started mimicking their design. That's a pretty powerful
market force.

Sorry, that's my two cents. Good to be back up. We've moved offices
and I was out of the loop for several days. Our new offices rock.
Working for an ad/marketing firm does have its upsides. We have a
foosball table and an electronic dartboard. We're supposed to be
getting a ping-pong table in a few weeks and we've already begun
lobbying for a pool table. Don't know if we'll get that, but our owners
are pretty fun guys. Now to get my work done so I can go play!

Apple is doing everything right including their pricing structure.
Expecting
them to bring down their prices wouldn't help anyone and I honestly
feel
would not help them get any more customers. It's like expecting BMW to
bring
down their prices just to be more price competitive, also like BMW
owners
you pay a premium for a more refined experience. You can't look at the
mac
in the same utilitarian way you'd think of a PC, otherwise we'd all
be
driving Kias just being content are cars were so inexpensive.

Apple should stick to their guns and gradually consumers will start to
look
over the fence and jump over to their side.

  (not knocking Kias though !....)
