Well... depends... Biggest this I see with that configuration is no redundancy. If that is not an issue to you, then start with that and go from there.
Money no object... I would but at least three web servers behind a load balancer. Have two DBs clustered. For course, This will require a load balancer, couple firewalls, some switches... but money is no object, right? ;-) -----Original Message----- From: James Smith [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Wednesday, January 18, 2006 4:17 AM To: CF-Community Subject: Server configuration I am just pricing up some new servers. If money was no object (which it is, but lets pretend...) how many servers would you run to support web and intranet serving... I am looking at 4. One for Web serving, one for Intranet serving, one to run the DB and finally another for replication and backup. Is this all good or am I over/under specifying this? -- Jay ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Message: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=i:5:192949 Archives: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/threads.cfm/5 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=s:5 Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=11502.10531.5 Donations & Support: http://www.houseoffusion.com/tiny.cfm/54
