After looking at what John Walker Lindh is being charged with, its fairly reasonable and fits the available evidence: one count of conspiracy to kill an American citizen or citizens; two counts of providing material aid to a terrorist organization; and one count of prohibited transactions with a terrorist organization.
Mind you the justice department has also said that further charges, including treason, may be laid in the future.
