Ok... but would this not be a reason to be very careful before engaging in yet 
another land war in the Middle East? Assuming that the goals of the US are in 
fact altruistic -- which the cynic in me doubts, but assuming for a minute -- 
it is seeming more and more that we are liberating those who do not wish to be 
liberated, in Iraq at least... I can't even remember the last time I saw a news 
story about Afghanistan, so I am not sure what I think about that. 

By the way, your other post was actually shockingly thoughful ;)
