GG, I have been dirt ass poor.  Even did some farm work some summers for
family in Maine.

I agree with you more than anyone else on this list, but I think this is one
place where you, and the libertarian party, are wrong.  Amnesty and eventual
loosening of our immigration statues will level the playing field
internationally.  It will drag us down to the level of the 2nd and 3rd world
nations that people are coming here from.  It will erode our core values and
systems and beliefs.

The earlier amnesty caused a huge influx of illegal immigration, and even
just the talk about this one has already caused a larger than normal flood
of people coming north in hopes to arrive prior to the amnesty so they can
attain some sort of legal status.
