I had a College history professor contend that Superman had Jewish
roots. My memory is foggy but I remember that the two creators were
Jewish, and that Kal-el is actually a Jewish word for something but I
forget what. There were also discussions on what his father's name was
(jor-el I think) and some significance with Superman Vs. Ubermensch.
Any thoughts?
