Untrue. Look it up and you'll see Presidents in the past wanting it and it 
being rejected. Even now Bush does not have the power or support to get this 
and let me tell you, it's something he would LOVE.

Not always true. Your ignoring the truth of how bills work, the amount of 
time and effort it takes to get them moving and the money it costs the 
govenment as well as the various interest groups to get it moving. There 
have been exceptionally few vetos based on line items and if you look them 
up you'll see that many of them still went through.

Right but if he lobbies for an increase in support for his grandparents and 
it has a rider of an XBox, then I can either reject the whole thing and be a 
bastard, accept the whole thing and give him his XBox with the support or 
use my (non-existant as president) line item veto. It's no where near as 
clear cut as you want to make it.
