I'm no history expert but I think the difference with this President
is that he's done more to coalesce executive power than any president
in history.  In that sense I don't look at it as a left or right issue
but a fundamental erosion of the system that's ensured our liberties
over the last few centuries.

That being said it would appear we're insulated for the time being,
but the problem that it creates is precedent.  Future presidents
(left, right, or center) can and may use the actions of this president
to justify their own power grab.

The good news this time is that it looks like both the judicial and
legislative are starting to fight back a bit, but it's a scary oracle
of what could happen in the future during another pseudo-war.

It's definitely a tail-wagging-the-dog moment.
