Think of the religious people that go astray. Then imagine them
without the religious guidelines. They could be really messed up.
There is no one thing that makes everything right. Many people, too
many people, need moral guidance. It has nothing to do with the
accuracy of religion, it has to do with its guidance on society. I'd
be afraid of an entire society that doesn't have the fear of god to
constrain the weak, the gullible or the people that don't know where
the moral line is. We don't all need it but if we all lose it and
society shifts to start questioning what is right and what is wrong
where do we end up? Look at gangsta rap as an example, it's become
cool to live in the hood and get shot. It may not tie in directly to
religion but you get the idea.
