Practically no? They are not destroying assets of their allies, they are attacking the channels which are used by Hizballah to move arms from Iran and Syria. They are attacking the launchers of these missiles. They are attacking Hizballah positions. Problem is, Hizballah, the lions that they are, are hiding within civilian locations and using civilian resources for their work. A nice map of this can be found here: http://vitalperspective.typepad.com/vital_perspective_clarity/2006/07/new_map_of_beir.html Note the Hizballah positions and the surrounding civilian population.
And Lebanon has never been an ally of Israel. They have still not fulfilled their agreement with the UN to man the international border with Israel. They let Hizballah do this. As for pissed Lebanese, we're seeing more and more that they hate Hizballah. As for Iran, there have already been Iranian troops killed in the conflict. Bottom line is that this is all a dodge by Iran to hide their nuclear program and avoid having to answer the call to stop in return for huge reams of incentives. Yes, the world is inching towards war but it's not the Israel/Hizballah/Hamas conflict that'll cause it. It'll be the one holding Hizballah's strings in Iran. And America has already agreed with the British on an international force on the border. Watch France say no. >> Dino wrote: >> Israel has given what it needs for a ceasefire. > > But this is all a "he started it" argument. Are you right? Yes. > Does it matter who started it?
