If I missed the point it's because you obscured it by referencing the celebrations as a sign of victory. Israel's response was exactly what Hezbollah wanted: a brutal attack > on Lebanon, the aftermath of which has essentially handed the country > to Hezbollah. So was the leader of Hezbollah lying when he said "If i had known the kidnapping would lead to war, I would not have authorized it." ?? It's certainly possible he was, I guess, but I thought that was an odd statement from someone who you said wanted the war all along. So the bottom line is this: when are western governments going to > learn that this strategy doesn't work? How many more times do they > need empirical evidence of failure? > > Do we try isolationism again? Force doesn't work...diplomacy hasn't worked...the UN hasn't worked...the EU doesn't work......what works? -- "We can sit outside and argue all night long, about a God we've never seen, but who never fails to side with me." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Introducing the Fusion Authority Quarterly Update. 80 pages of hard-hitting, up-to-date ColdFusion information by your peers, delivered to your door four times a year. http://www.fusionauthority.com/quarterly Archive: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/CF-Community/message.cfm/messageid:215950 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/CF-Community/subscribe.cfm Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=89.70.5
