I would not say that drinking every Friday night is the definition of the college experience, and if you actually think that's all there is to it, then you're completely missing the point.
Aside from that, Friday night isn't all week, and isn't every night. Even from that viewpoint though, college does teach you that if you go out drinking on a Tuesday night, it can be difficult to function the next day. Something valuable to learn before you have a real job. Some people learn, others don't, but most people use this time to get it out of their system. I only lived in the dorms for 2 of the 4 years, but the experience off-campus in an apartment was just as valuable to me. Learning to pay rent, build my own credit, and deal with real world issues with thousands of peers who were going through the same thing and with resources that the college provided was invaluable to me. If I could go back and do it over I wouldn't have chosen to do it any other way. I was lucky to be given that choice and appreciate the real life experience and knowledge it gave me to prepare me for the rest of my life. -Cameron On 1/13/07, Dana <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > well, this is a bit of a hot button with me.
