But I'm also the guy who says that the government's role is to keep
the playing field level.  That means a strong educational system with
well educated kids - only then are they armed to make good choices.

As for vouchers, it's already worked quite well for decades in Milwaukee.

Muslim schools can pop up already, and the government guarantees k-12
education, not in a particular school.

In my opinion vouchers would get rid of poor performing teachers by
getting rid of the teacher's union.  Then it would get rid of poor
performing schools.  What you'd be left with is a strong school
system.

Kickbacks could be handled the same way they are in every other
industry: make them illegal and prosecute violators.
