I have a whole section of my family that are public school teachers
and administrators in Milwaukee, Chicago and Dalls, and they
unanimously tell me that vouchers are the way to go.

Here in MN we're starting to get the specialized high schools that
Milwaukee has: we've got an engineering high school and and
environmental HS in my suburb. The problem is, without vouchers, they
have to be private schools.

In Milwaukee you can simply send your kid to engineering school. A
very good friend of mine graduated from one 20 years ago. As his
parents were recent immigrants from Poland with little money he
couldn't have gone without vouchers.

It's not the principle of taxes I'm against. It's using forcing
people to pay for programs that are unproven.

And, in my opinion, just about anything that's based on removing
choice, competition, and not data driven will fail.
